Medicare Urgent Care Carnegie
We are located within Carnegie Central Medical Clinic, operating 7 days a week, 8 am to 10 pm.
Our Urgent Care Clinic provides bulk-billed urgent care for conditions that require urgent attention, however, are not life-threatening, reducing the need to visit a hospital ED.
Patients of all ages are welcome, including infants.
We accept both ‘walk-ins’ and appointments, and you will be seen whether you have a Medicare card or not.
Cost may apply for any services that fall outside of Medicare coverage. These will be advised by our team.
Upon arrival, patients will be promptly triaged and seen based on the urgency of their presentation.
Medicare Urgent Care Clinics will refer you to the emergency department if you have a life-threatening injury or illness, or to your GP for non-urgent, routine and preventative health care.
Medicare Urgent Care Clinics do not provide treatment for regular checkups or complex conditions. Your regular GP should continue to be your first point of contact for non-emergency, routine preventative health care.
An Urgent Care Clinic can not provide replacement of lost, stolen or destroyed prescriptions – including prescriptions for pain medications and other controlled substances.
